Annual Gathering, June 29, 2011

Update, June 30: It appears to have been an informative, productive, and energizing event for all. There were a lot of post-event comments like the one that was added below this post.

It remains crucial to have citizens working together to steward the Garden City Lands in the ALR for agricultural, ecological, and open-land park uses for community wellness. For this community service, it helps to have a society with elected leaders.

Once a year, Garden City Lands Coalition Society members come together for a gathering. It includes a brief “annual general meeting” (required by law) and the opportunity to celebrate and look ahead together. In 2011, it is on Wednesday, June 29. You are invited if you support the goals of the society. The event is free, but society membership (with $10 annual fee) is required.

Here are the details, with links for further information.

Time: 6:45 p.m.* on Wednesday, June 29, 2011

  1. Great meeting everyone! Great work! Great food! I woke up this morning to find a huge Swallowtail Tiger Butterfly in our porch, and I felt like it was a big thank you for doing this conservation work. http://permacultureterranova.wordpress.com/?p=31&preview=true Please join the Permaculture Richmond group.
