The Log Driver’s Waltz

Pause to look and see what’s there.

More and more, I think that’s the secret to conservation. To be moved to act, one needs first to pause to look and see what’s there.

Log Driver’s Waltz, a 1979 National Film Board vignette, captures Canadiana in a delightfully human and natural way. The narrator pauses to look and appreciate, and she opts for natural value.

Even if we just want to smile and hum, it’s a fun use of three minutes.

If we also experience a secret to conservation while smiling and humming, that’s fitting and all the more fun.
